Get your attention? Hope so... this is the first fan ficlet that I've let anyone read, and this is the first draft as well. I've been writing for half my life now, but I've never finished a fan fic. This one will be short, very short, so I'm calling it a ficlet...

Attention: Possible spoilers for end of season 3... you've been warned.

The set up is this...

after John, Aeryn, Crais, and Talyn have managed to foil Scorpy's worm hole research, Crais is killed (or so we are led to believe), John is captured, but Aeryn has been able to get Talyn in a strategically viable position to bargain for John.

John figures he's dead, but he feels okay about it since he did manage to do what he wanted... rip the ability to do further worm hole research away from Scorpy. When John later finds himself aboard Talyn, with Aeryn, he's confounded. Talyn's still just off the port stern of Scorpy's command carrier.

John's eyes finally opened, at once elating Aeryn and filling her with dread. Now she'd have to explain...

"Wha--," John began suddenly, bolting upright.

Aeryn, her hands on both of his shoulders, pushed him down, knowing he'd comply.

"You're aboard Talyn," she explained calmly.

She was proud of herself for having maintained this calm and resolved not to lose it. "You'll be fine. As soon as you're ready, Talyn will starburst. When you find Moya, tell the others to starburst immediately."

"What do you mean? We'll tell them," John protested, pushing himself up on his elbows.

Now was the hard part. Aeryn stood, walking away from John, not sure if she could face him when she told him.

"Aeryn?"

She hated that tone... she knew it only meant that he cared. She had hoped he had somehow begun to feel indifferent, hoped that her attitude might have altered his feelings for her. She knew now that they had not.

She turned to find him sitting at the edge of the bed, ready to stand. Her expression made him stop. "You'll be taking Talyn alone," she began, then continued quickly, before he could protest again, "I've already informed Talyn, and he's agreed to work with you, so don't worry. He'll rendevous with Moya--"

"Aeryn, what are you talking about?" John did stand now, a bit unsteadily, but resolved to retain his feet. "We've done it, and somehow managed to get away, but we've done it. We can go now...."

"No, John, we haven't."

John looked at her with that hurt, confused expression that reminded her of what he must have looked like as a boy, and which still tugged at her heart in spite of her efforts to ignore him.

She continued explaining, turning to pace the floor of what was once Crais's quarters. "I'll be staying here for a while longer. You can send Talyn back in about half a cycle. Scorpius has assured Talyn free access, provided he approaches with his main cannon powered down."

"And you believe him?" John asked incredulously. "Why don't we just starburst now?"

"Because if we try to manuver away to do that, Scorpius will be able to open fire."

John turned, looking for a port. "You mean.... Is that Scorpy's command carrier?!"

"Scorpius captured you," she continued quickly, "and I had to do something. I mean I couldn't just let him--"

"That wasn't a dream? You mean Scorpy actually had me? And he just let you... What did you do, Aeryn?" This was John's authoritarian tone, one she'd only heard a few times, but which made her cringe none-the-less. "Aeryn, what did you do?"

Aeryn turned to face him again, pulling strength from her depths in order to do so. "I promised him something just as... interesting to him. Something I knew he could use to replace his interest in worm holes."

This was it. This was where she'd have to tell him... everything. It had to be done. She'd given Scorpius her word.

John remained silent, but his eyes burned pulse blasts through her soul. She faced him squarely.

"I promised him Crichton's child."

This is the vision I had last night, so I had to share the agony, :crying: :crying: :crying: or it would torture me until January. Now, you can all tell me to go to Hezmana and I can get on with the fun stuff. :smile:

Sorry, but I don't do lots of fan fic like H_P_M or others.

If I become obsessed by another bad thought, I'll let you know and write it all down.

I could probably work on my original season one fic... it's a complete story I started last fall, but it got left behind when I became obsessed with a new show, Dark Angel. :erm: Maybe I can finish it now for you guys. :blush:

First of all I think I'm going to agree with Kavanne and say someone is going to be killed if you don't finish this, and I do believe that Kavanne and I should team up and plan tortures if you shall not :circle: :circle: :eek7: :eek7: :disturbed

Well also I bet if you give yourself time, you would be so surpise how many of those fics pop out of you head. I mean I didn't just do all these, heck The Darkness I have been working on since...what...last Christmas

so give yourself some time and you would be so happy...and I think your really good and you NEED TO CONT. CAUSE YOU ARE REALLY GOOD!!!!

Thanks for the compliment, and the threat {I feel like I'm in good company. DK gets threats on the bboard all the time :smile:}.

Sorry, but the ficlet is not going to get any more finished than it already is. This is how I feared the third season might end, and I just had to write it so I could get it out of my head. :blush:

I like the Darkness, so far, and hope to see something of Crichton's 'stream of consciousness' writing again at/near the end. That would bookmark the story really well.

If I get enough outcry here and on the sci-fi board about "finishing" this ficlet, I just might attempt it. I don't usually do much writing without a whole lot of thinking first, or obsessing, so it would be rougher if I did.

oh no problem,....yes poor DK he gets a lot of threats but he kind of deserves it. Oka question, what do I have to do to make you FINSH THE BLOODY STORY???? LOL. Cause I want to know more for the love of god, I mean every cliffhanger has an ending, so you can't torture us this way...oh wait yes you can, dang it. Also thank you for the nice complement about the Darkness..don't worry John will be appearing again, he just kind of in la la land..

but I'm pretty sure in PT.10 he will wake back up so stay tune kiddy's cause it's near the end mah hahahah.

But please I beg you for the mercy of Fanfic finish the story cause well let's put it this way, THAT IS SO WRONG IF YOU DON'T!!!!

Don't know what you'd have to do... I got five feedbacks from the 200 or so members of the sci-fi board who want to see more, but that's an awefully low percentage.

If I get anyone else from here who sounds like they REALLY need to read more, I'll do my best to accommodate. Otherwise, it'll be up to YOUR vivid imagination.

Well to tell you the truth, if you want a ton of feedback then you have to go to a place like for example....

FanFic Net

It depends, you get feedback there, usually a lot of nice replys and reviews. Also I'm located at the Ultiamate B/B for Farscape cause to tell you the truth, for the Ascifi section of Farscape..as you can see not many people are fanfic writers so that is kind of a downer, and I know it's frustrating. But I'm not sure what else to say to convense you, I can hope you finish the story

I'm thinking about it, but remember, it's all horrible speculation. I think I know how Aeryn could convince John that she's telling the truth (and keep in mind that it's near IMPOSSIBLE to lie to Scorpy)...
