Clarke's Third Law:

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

Conversely:

Elliott's First Law

"Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology."

If you can't work out how it was done, it's probably magic. If you can, and you can reproduce it, it's probably science.
