the bible this was sent to me in a daily email newsletter that i get. personanally i think this is going a little too far.... Someone With Too Much Time The Bible has been translated into dozens of languages including Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more. Well, now the language barrier has finally broken into the final frontier. Yes, the Bible has finally been translated into...Klingon! Hallelujah! -Micheal Vincent

well - if they want to send missionaries to Klingon - it could be very helpful -- and no - i'm not poking fun at missionaries, i know they have a difficult job, but, that might have been the motivation behind the translation -----

i'm not sure, but i'll try and find out. here's something else i found though: NEW YORKAccording to a report released Monday by the Modern Language Association, speakers of the Star Trek-based Klingon language outnumber individuals fluent in Navajo by a margin of more than seven to one.

Didn't a University start offering degree's in Klingon language and Culture a couple of years ago? It's daft enough to be American, but it was British (reported on the BBC during the morning news-magazine). One of the jumped up poly-tech's. (Stafford probably. They started a degree course last year on David Beckham!)

No offence is intended. Merely an observation. If there is going to be something studied that is of no practical use then in all probability it is going to happen:- a) In a University, obviously Nothing better to do. And b) Probably in America. Probably for the same reason. As a stereotype it can be wrong and there are some who are jealous of the distinction. Especially British Universities. Hence degrees upon the subject of a football (Soccer) player. ![]()
