All this hype for ENT...wasn't everyone just as excited when VOY or DS9 premiered?

I guess that most of us can't wait for Broken Bow. I'm wondering if you boys and girls were just as excited for DS9 and VOY as you are with Enterprise.
For example....when VOYAGER premiered 7 years ago were you excited? Were you thinking...wow....the Delta Quadrant! the first female captain, new starship, new aliens.

(I guess Voyager premiered before the advent of internet chat rooms, trekweb or trektoday.com,......the FIRST time I heard about Voyager was A COMMERCIAL two weeks before the series premiered)

Maybe the difference was that you already had another series running at the time.

I remember being excited about TNG. But that kind of wore off when you had to wait so long for the BBC to show it. No Sky then.

i think i am more excited about ENT than any of the others. I was too young to get teh premiere of TNG, I watched that on re-runs mostly.. DS9 and Voy gave me a buzz waiting for them to start, but like Dave, I had to watch them on BBC origianlly, only had Sjy for about 7 years at the most...

I was anxiously awaiting the premiere of TNG, and when DS9 premeired, I looked forward to it. I did watch the VOY premiere and a few shows after it, but I just never could get into it at all, as I did TNG and DS9.

With ENT, I was kinda leery, especially since I was so disenchanted with VOY. I watched it out of curiosity (I mean, Bakula looked so geeky in the trailers )....but I think it will be really good once it finds it's niche. I'll definitely watch it again.

Now, the theme song...don't even get me started!!! I was so looking forward to a new "Trek" theme song, you know, the really classy instrumentals....sigh......
