| i remember this one -- the little kids and Buffy's got this weird flu -and it's only those who have this odd flu strain who can see the 'bad man' (don't remember what he's called) but i do remember Buffy not being particularly pleased that the doctor was keeping the kids sick (that's what was happening right? the doc kept 'em sick? or have i gotten this confused w/ a different ep or show?) |

| Watched this again the other day - Der Kinderstod is the nasty demon guy - and the doctor wasn't keeping the kids sick on purpose - well, he was, but as a way to help them break the fever and survive. Kinda corny w/ the flashback and Buffy remembers her cousin dying - come to discover she was killed by Der Kinderstod - convenient, no? And does Buffy have any other family? Like, what happened to the parents of this cousin? Did they just run away? Did they die? What happened to them? All these unanswered questions... |

| lost in Time | Or maybe they live across country now. it's really hard to visit relatives when they're in another state. you loose touch. and with the divorce and all it's very possible they did. plus like Mark said they could be related to the Dad who we only see once/twice really. |

| I liked this episode, and thought that the Freddy Krueger-esque demon was very effective. I also thought that it reminded me a bit of "Nightmares", what with the plot about a kid (in this case kids) in a hospital and being killed by bad dreams. |
