Willow and Oz are both supposed to be hyper intelligent. Oz's thoughts live up to expectation, but all Willow can do is to drivel about how unwanted she feels now that Buffy has this new power. Sure, that should be part of Willow's reaction, but I would have loved to have seen some demo of the high intelligence she can use on occasion.

Oz's thoughts were great "i am my thoughts, if they exist in her Buffy contains everything that is me and she become me. I cease to exist." I agree about Willows I guess, but it served to highlight her insecurities I suppose, like that she was jealous of Buffy for knowing what Oz was thinking, which she never did... I also liked the different curves they threw in, like the dark newspaper editer guy and the school cook, to mix up the suspicions about who's thought Buffy had "heard"

this episode was good - (and yeah - gotta report on 'em as i see 'em - 2 at a time on FX) - the twists were nice throw ins ---- the newspaper guy, jonathan, the lunchlady -- very nice ---- trying to figure out who was the threat -- and that scene w/ her mother walking out of the room to think - coming up w/ things to get for Buffy --- -- quite amusing -- then the follow up --- Buffy talking to Giles and he runs into the tree!! priceless!!!

But what about Freddie? He sat there and listened to the gang talking about Buffy hearing everyone's thoughts and that someone was going to kill everyone at the school. He's supposed to be a journalist (albeit one in high school) but that would have peaked my interest. The first time I saw this, I didn't recognize the voice that Buffy heard but if you go back and listen to it again after finding out who it really belonged to, you can recognize it for the cook's. And Gile's walking into the tree ... ROTFLMAO! Tony Head is so great. His reaction was just what you'd expect of someone who had just walked into a tree. Look startled, look up and down, look around to see who might have seen you just do that. ![]() Cheers,

yeah - Freddie as a journalist wasn't very believable -- as far as 'getting the story' -- but he might not have cared - did you see the headlines he had printed? (the pan across the wall) --

well- yeah - that might have helped - but - eh - we may never know why he didn't jump on it -- or, maybe he's a 'lay low'/subtle type reporter - and was gonna investigate once they were gone? (i'm reaching, but it's an argument) --

Chances are it's one of those 'tag' scenes. Of course, Willow turning over the interviews ranks up there, too, with 'how the heck did you know someone was going to go nutso and try and kill everyone in the school'. ![]() Cheers,
