does anyone else here watch the pretender? because i absolutely love the show, even though it's all reruns. i was wondering if anyone heard when the next pretender movie was coming on tnt? i know they already had the pretender 2001, but they were supposed to be working on another movie to answer all the questions. if anyone knows anything, please tell me!

hey, guess what? i just found out that the new movie is called Pretender: The Island of the Haunted, and is currently scheduled to air on TNT on December 10, 2001 at 8:00 PM. but if you have any other new on the pretender, or if you just want to chat about it please let me know! i love that show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

right now - "Island of the Haunted" is the only new info on the Pretender --

i haven't heard whether or not TNT will make any further movies, however, it looks like they'll be running the series for a while -- just be carefull when watching it on TNT - b/c in the 1st season, they like to skip the episode "Not Even A Mouse" and 'hold' it for the Holidays, even tho it has information pertinent to the episodes that follow it --- story arc stuff ---

you noticed that too? by the way, assuming you saw tnt's 1st movie, if mr. parker isn't miss parker's father, who do you think it is? i mean, that would cause some problems if miss parker wasn't a parker. especially considering the fact that they never gave her a first name.

don't know the answer to that one ---

hadn't really thought about it (and yeah, i've seen all the Pretender stuff so far)

don't really know where they're gonna go w/ all the questions they tossed out in The Pretender: 2001 (which, btw, was a lame name for a movie)

oh - and i hate MTW's hair -- i like the series Jarod hair better -

and, "Island of the Haunted" was supposed to air back in May, but they moved it - twice!

so, now it's december ---

what is your favorite stunt jarod pulled? i have 2, but they're kind of similar. the first one is where he stays at the ymca and send the phone call that traces all over the world and it turns out the call originated from the room next door. the other one, and probably my all time fav, is where he sends miss parker and lyle to dallas, locks them together in a box car, and then has the box car shipped back to the center!

Sydney: The Center wants him alive.
Miss Parker: Preferably.

Jarod (about Parker): You might want to strip search this one... She could be palming chips.

i like the one where he sticks them to the floor w/ roach bait and Sam gets pushed onto the bed --he ehehehehe -- his feet weren't really stuck -- that was Sam Ayers doing a great acting job!

As per your question, I was going to say the box car one, too. the whole build-up to them being found was hilarious. Oh, and it was just on the other day! Even better.

i have another question, if jarod isn't wanted because he's a pretender, why the heck do they want him? i mean, i know why I want jarod, but why do they want him?

he IS wanted b/c he's a Pretender, however, there's more to it than that. The Centre wants him back b/c of what he knows and what he can do. They want to exploit his genius, just as they did when he was younger, and want him to help 'them' take over -probably the world, but that's pretty melodramatic sounding, but you get the idea ---

The Centre - intriguing as it is -- is a large lab, for lack of a better word. They're kinda trying to build the perfect 'drone' -- i'm not sure if they're trying to build a superior race, but they want Jarod for his Pretender abilities and they want MP for her Inner Sense (which i think was total crap, but that's another discussion altogether), and there are others -- each of the ppl in the Centre (the kids who were stolen from their families or whatever) had/has a special gift and the Centre wants to make sure they are the ones w/ their hands on it.

gonna hafta ask Padders if we can have a mini-forum - this is one multi-faceted discussion ---

They didn't even air the first movie here!!! I've been searching for news but all could find out is that there 'may' be a Pretender movie after the series end...

So does the first movie take place right after the last double episode?
