4.10 : Hush

In Sunnydale, no one can hear you scream. (OB)

Brill episode if you ask me! Best of the season?

Can't believe no-one has posted on this thread - I reckon this eppy has to be one of the best of season 4.

Those freaky men were just sooooo creepy and scary - I mean really frightening. They looked like they'd just been dug up !

It really showed the actors abilities - cos they couldn't rely on the one liners but had to use body language

As usual Spike still managed to make me laugh - the scene were Anya is feeding him the pigs blood (I think he was still tied up at this stage of series) and he gets covered in the blood, and then Xander walks in and things he is 'feeding' on Anya - priceless

Cool

Got to agree with you Brit Chick and Markpud. This is one of the best episodes of Season 4. I love it. Have seen it at least twice now.

Spike is great and funny. Just the way the gang communicate with each other is excellent. I've laughed every time its been shown.

ooh yeah. Those guys were very well thought out, and this eppy was one of the scariest of all.

And i'd forgotten that comedy moment with Spike/Anya/Xander, class!!

I feel so left out. I'd heard a lot about this one and wanted to see it. FOX didn't show this episode and just skipped over it to the one about Faith.

Cheers,

That's what I hear. Anything someone who hasn't gotten to see it should know to keep up with stuff that is going to happen?

Cheers,

perhaps the main thing is that Willow and Tara meet (I think for the first time)... http://www.obcooke.com/buffy/Buffy4.html#066 is a pretty good summary!

I'm thinking that the only way I'll get to see it is to buy it on tape if it's available -- that and a few others FOX has skipped over -- like the Dracula one.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

I finally figured out why Fox didn't show Hush, as well as the Dracula episode and a few others. UPN got the rights to show those eps instead. Hopefully they'll show Hush or release it to Fox sometime in the near future.

MythingLink - i noticed a similar thing here -- FX is running eps and skipped a bunch of the good ones -- like "Hush" -- and UPN ran them instead -- (btw - UPN ran them instead of running season 6 reruns -- grrrrr - i wanted to see season 6!)

anyway --

on to the ep -- i like this one -- very strange to not have 'lines' -- and it does show abilities of the actors (here is where that 'face acting' thing comes in really handy!) and that part w/ Anya/Spike/Xander is pretty funny!

oh - and the scene in the lecture hall w/ the overhead projector and Giles' drawings! too funny!!

no prob - they're the same company -- (i'm pretty sure) -- owned by the same ppl anyway ---

and did you know that FX cuts out about 2 1/2 additional minutes of each episode?? why?? the episodes on UPN run about 42.30 mins -- the ones on FX run, if you're lucky, about 40.00 mins (rough estimate) --- really annoying b/c FX has NO reason to cut more of the episode EXCEPT to add more ridiculously stupid commercials for junk no one cares about ---- it's bad enough that we get LESS show material now than we did several years ago, but then FX is allowed to cut more and add MORE commercials? (and in the most inappropriate places in the show too) --- hmmmm sounds like i need to have a chat w/ the FCC......

It isn't just Buffy ... every show once it goes to syndication has bits and pieces cut out for more commercial time. You know pretty soon an hour show is going to be 30 minutes of show and 30 minutes of commercials.
