okay - since i've finally seen this episode (had to have a friend tape it b/c UPN pre-empted it) -- i can comment -- pretty standard episode - bunch of plot stuff -- and a little bit of humor ![]() makes ya go: 'gee, if only Spike had seen Ben change into Glory sooner....' but that would have ruined the story and there wouldn't have been the 'big' finale -- best moment in this episode: Xander and Spike in the hospital, leaving to go see Doc, Xander repeats, for the umpteenth time - 'Ben is Glory?' (or something to that effect)--- Spike: *This* is gonna be worth it. <smacks Xander upside the back of his head> Both: <cry in pain, gripping their heads> Spike: All right. Once more from the top.... hands down - best scene!

Knives and Swords remembered something else -- the sword that Xander used to stab Doc - it's known as the "Sword of Darkness" (IIRC) and made by United Cutlery - it's an odd sword w/ a skull and wings at the handle (well, not really wings, but like wings) - and the handle comes in either a graphite color or a burgundy -- it's an unusual piece - not nearly as cool as Faith's knife from season 3, but 'Buffy-ish' -- and - see "the Gift" thread for more knife notices --- ![]()

It's interesting in this episode and the first two of Season 6 that Willow is the natural leader of the scoobies when Buffy isn't around. Do you think she ever resents Buffy when she takes over the group again?

I don't think she resents Buffy... they're friends first and foremost. Willow has certainly grown hugely from the timid girl of the first few seasons, but I think shes still happier to allow others to lead, although she certainly has more control over her life and the scenarios that she finds herself in...
