The Encyclopedia of Arda is not exactly the most reliable source of information on Tolkien. Many of the entries are incomplete, some of them are wrong, and some of them are right.
You have to check what they say against the books.
As for the Avari, you might want to read my essay "The Wild, Wild Wood Elf West".
There isn't a great deal about them. But you also have to understand that they sort of evolved out of something else through the decades. |
