|  Stargate Convention? Hello to all, I live in upstate New York and would like to organize or help organize a Stargate convention in this area-if anyone would like to help or has suggestions, please let me know jmc71472@yahoo.com - I doubt we could get something together with the actors, but maybe we could get something cool together anyway. I'm disappointed that I couldn't make Gatecon and it looks like lots of people won't be going due to the recent tragedy in NYC, so it would be nice to set something else up instead. By the way, if anyone reading this has lost a loved one due to the WTC disaster, God bless you and my prayers are with you. Jaffa-Jim |

| i live on long island..i asked the same question months ago. was told it is too difficult and costly to try. oh well.. still trying to get to go next year anyone know the dates? and jaffa jim-if you are able to get something up and running i help ya!  |

|  go for it! Jaffa-Jim, I just came back from the conference. Someone asked Don S. Davis and Teryl Rothery whether or not they would be willing to do a convention in the Chicago area. They both said that they would go anywhere because (and this is para-phrased) they don't feel they are doing the fans a favor by going to these conferences, but the fans of Stargate SG-1 are doing them a favor but showing up and supporting the show. |  Wow, if anyone hears of a Con in the states, please keep me in mind and I'll go! After missing Gatecon, I feel like I missed out on something I would have really enjoyed-too bad they didn't cybercast highlights of the con! |

| Is there a video of the con? I thought for last year a videotape was available for those who went to the convention. Well, in light of recent events, I think anyone who was affected by the attack and was already registered to attend Gatecon whould get the tape. Is it at all possible? Since their names were on the list of attendees, it should be easy to track. |

| re:videos At last mention our con MC, Allan, said there was possibly two tapes to be released. One, the usual highlights and a second full-length tape of the charity auction. And when he says that he has to be talking about close to five hours of tape from just the auction. I hope this is so and not just post-con exhaustion talking. The poor man was frazzled by Friday night and events at the banquet, by Sunday night who knows if he was sane? |

|  Con video and CD-ROM Last year there was a Con Video and CD-ROM with pictures. I have both. They will make one for this year's con. Just give them time and check the Gatecon website now and then. Or maybe Allan or Richard or Rowan will post info on them in this forum somewhere. |

| I'm Back !!!! There will be 2 video's released from this years con. The first will be a 3 hour video of the con highlights, and if all goes well (as promised), uncut footage from the auction. Now, with that one... It wont be the full 5 hours because we didn't have the cameras running for the full night, but I beleive there is close to an hour of footage that our cameraman took. We only had the roaming camera on that night, and i'm still waiting for the tapes to arrive from the courier to see what is exactly on them. It will be a big job getting the video's ready, so check the Gatecon site for updates on a release date. |
