Hey, does anyone know a good site to get an olive drab jacket similar to what the SGC wears on the show? I just ordered some SG-2 patches and I need somewhere to put them (no rude suggestions, please). I want to get as close to what they wear on the show as possible-I went to a local Army/Navy store, but they're not close enough.

Sounds like you need to visit a genuine US army surplus outlet - I assume there are such places over there. An alternative would be the sort of supplier who actually sells to the air-force; they tend to also sell privately to the military people, as an extra income for lost, damaged, or simply spare kit.

An alternative is to find a current serving US air-force person, probably non-com level, who is prepared to accept folding green pictures of the presidents in exchange for some military clothing. Happens all the time - allegedly.

NB - This assumes the series uses genuine current field kit, and is not "dramatised" or personalised for the show.

Stargate Jakets will soon be available made to order.

They are customised Jakets and from what ive heard they are top quality. I'm currently in negotiation with the suppliers.

Ill post more info when i have it.

You wont find an exact replica of the jacket they have on the show in any surplus store, they are specially made for the show. You can find some very similar (Im big on small details) jackets that were in use by the military in the 1940s and 50s, but yet they lack certain characteristics of SG-1's jacket.
