Why does Harry go back to the Dursleys every year?

erm this hasent been put in any book yet but its been confiremned so erm spoiler tag time.....
When harry was saved by hagrid a spell was cast by the powerfull good wizards who knew of harrys future.. The spell was the same as that cast upon harrys house with his parents but with a nice twist. No evil can enter. He is sent back through many causes to keep this.

That part I am unclear on!!!

To be honest i was thinking aalong the same lines as Trunks - that Dumbledore has put a spell on the house which will protect Harry while he is there!
