Is anyone else fascinated by the concept of the Avari (the race of elves who remained in the far east beside Cuvienen)? The idea of a race of primordial, non-eldar elves living in the forests of the east is really engaging for me.

Does anyone have any information on them? I only have the names of seven of their languages, and some vague reference about them drifting into non-existence.

Also, is there any info on if the Ents survived to find the Entwives? I'd always wondered about that...
