Yeah it was great

It was a shame that Tom Baker didn't actually tape any new scenes for it

He was always my favourite Doctor....

If we are discussing the movie set in America, then I liked it. So Dr Who kissed a women, it's no big deal. It would have been good to have seen a new series.

i liked what they did with the master and the doctor....

it's a shame that sylvester mccoy didn't get a bigger part in the movie, but what he did was great, loved it when he was on the op table

It must be a web-site story, it's not a TV programme or else I would have heard more about it. I couldn't find it from that link either, the BBC site is a very big site to search.

I really struggled with this film and I don't know why. I watched it and came out the other side saying, 'so what?'

The effects were good, then you would expect them to be, though I missed the unusual uses for everyday bits.

The story was as sound as it ever was, if not as innocent.

But in the end, I thought there was something missing, not just the Daleks.

In the end I could only put it onto the the Doctor. He was an Americanised impression of an Englishman, with a smidge of James Bond thrown in. Which was never Doctor Who.

I could understand, perhaps, if they had made it into an all action film. It would have appealed to youngsters who have never seen Doctor Who, if not for us oldies.

In the end it fell between two stools. Too much action, for the wrong people, for traditionalists and not enough for young trendies.

^^^You hit it exactly. An Americanized Dr. Who is what made the movie seem off.

For me personally, I'm so tired of hollywood's style. It's cookie cutter. Let's get some new blood!

I agree with that assessment "An Americanised Dr Who". I like Paul McGann generally, but there was something a bit off about his portrayal of the Doctor.
I wonder if this had been a British production, made primarily for a British audience, would McGann have done a better job, or seemed to fit better in the role. I wonder would anything have been different at all?
I quite liked this movie, but it just didn't feel very much like Dr Who to me.
