totally. that's one of my pet hates really. i guess cos before, i was jealous, and now, im like, well so do i!
so saying, i hav a book out doesnt' interest me. i would read a book from someone i knew/had gotten to know. or someone who had a book out THEN i got to know them, but not someone who just shows off and then vanishes.
half the stuff i buy is because i know the author, have read their stuff before. so this is going to be no different. i'd buy a book based on knowing the author, just in a more actrual way this time, rather than through experience of their past stuff
or something.
