Favorite Holodeck Program

Which of the regular holodeck programs we saw on Voyager was your favorite? Which was your least favorite? No counting ones we only saw in one episode, even if they were cool, like Tuvok's in Worst Case Scenario or really uncool, like Harry's Beowulf. Was it:

1. Janeway's Gothic Victorian Novel
2. Paris' French Bistro
3. Neelix's Tropical Resort
4. Janeway's Da Vinci Workshop
5. Captain Proton
6. Fair Haven
7. God no! They all sucked!

Which was your favorite? Which did you hate?

hmm there's a thread like this is General Discussions

but for Voyager only, i thought that Captain proton was funny esp. the couple of times that Janeway had to play Queen of the Spider People And Sandrine's seemed like fun. Fair Haven was okay too. Didn't like Janeway's Gothic program much - a little too cliched. Didn't really care about the others one way or the other.

I'd forgotten about 'Worst case scenario'. It made a good episode, even if it was a poor entertainment.

it's kind of surprising the holodeck was not used to better effect on VOY---you'd think that a crew lost so far away from home would utilize the holodeck more extensively. I mean, Voyager was a big ship, but wouldn't it seem confining if you thought you might have to live on it for the rest of your life?

In my opinion, TNG used the holodeck most creatively out of all the series...

i agree, they had the advantage of holodecks being very new to them, so they were totally impresed with everything that happened in there at first...

I'd say insurrection alpha was possibly the best use of the voyager holodecks!!

I liked Fairhaven and the da Vinci ones the best. I also liked the one Naomi went to (can't remember the name, aargh!). Her mom had gone to it as a kid and so had Captain Janeway. It was only one episode but I thought it was lots of fun.

They really didn't make as much use of the holodecks as you would think they would.

Oh, and I liked the doc's holofamily, too. It started out so sappy and unbelievable then moved into a real family and story. I like episodes that deal with relationships and human/alien nature!

the Gothic one was horrid, didn't do anything for me, and didn't add to Janeway's character at all if you ask me...
