| the writers have a bad habit of giving characters 'powers' then forgetting that they have them. like in rite of passage, teal'c and sam can sense goauld...both are in the same room with a cloaked nirti...and neither sensed her i've always wondered about them using sam as a gate locator. i mean the gate's made of naquadah....so why can't sam sense it? they just forget. like in FIAD they tell us danny's b-day is in july yet in 1969 he's 4 1/2 in the summer of 1969. guess they want to make it easy for us to nitpick it Jean: glad to see you back. i hear real life has been hectic for you. your presence here has been missed |

| Thank you, Skydiver! You would think though that they would for the sake of continuity have someone that would catch these problems before they shot the script! Some of these discontinuities they can drive trucks through with the holes they leave! GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE! I mean if they are too cheap to hire a person with knowledge of the show to do that job of continuity they could just have a list so the mistakes wouldn't be so very very glaring!:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire to the idiots who don't do this properly...think producers! |

| What was up with the whole "how do we defuse the bomb" scene? It was THEIR bomb! They brought it with them, and you'd think Jack would have brought a copy of "Bomb Handling for Dummies" along. |

| well I haven't watched Fail Safe yet (that's at lunch today...I finally got them downloaded from the computer) but I did jsut finish watching 48 hrs. Is it just me or shouldn't the gate have had enough power for one dialing even when it's been disconected from the DHD? Isn't that how they got out of Thors ship a few seasons ago? |

| Ya, why didnt' Jack know more about the bomb? You'd think he'd have some knowledge as to which wires to cut instead of blindly guessing. That seems dumb. But I like how Jack keeps refering to "the movie" asuming he ment one of those movies like Armagedon....'OK, this didn't happen in the movie' At least they acknowledge where they got the idea from. Didn't understand how it could go through Earth though |

That was... Strange. I was so hoping they wouldn't fall into the Armageddon cliché! Dang, they fell! and hard! I think that'S the first time I don't like an episode that much... It least, Jack was kinda cute with that space suit!!!! ( sorry, I couldn't help the Jack comment! I just love him, whatever he does!!!)

| I agree with the comments that recently the allies of Earth tend to dissapear when the Earth is in problems and in need of help. And about the Tokra always getting their help from Earth. But a point to them, they get to the scene late but their the ones always helping Earth lately of all the allies. The Asgards are really a big dissapointment much similar to the politics on earth. That is why one of my favorite parts is at the beginning of the episode when Daniel says how the Jack and the Asgard reunion end. Also love the constant references of Jack to the movie, and the agreement thing between all of them as some has mention before in this post. Also it was good to see something different as a mission, only that this story is very used in movies etc and it will be cool to see some other thing hitting earth and not the usual asteroid. Anyway I enjoy the episode ![]() Krystal ![]() |

they jumped into hyperspace which isn't 'real space' it's like...you're just not in 'real space' and since they weren't in 'real space' they could pop right through earth and not even feel it. the same way when a ship is in hyperspace it can go right 'through' asteroids, planets, meteors, suns...i mean imagine the course if a ship had to go 200light years and steer around all the stuff?

| spoiler?....common knowledge...? . ; ; kalnareem, or however you spell it. He always does that, he has to survive. Anyhoo, the reason he did it in the glider was because it would slow down his breathing & wouldn't take as much oxygen |
