I've read some spoilers concerning the return of amy.

willow is gonna bring buffy back with magic (the speel of osiris I think).
but as always when you use magic to change something you mustn't (a resurection for instance) there is a backfire!!! this spell is gonna change some things that happens in the past, knowing : amy could be de-rat. Of course, if she is, she's gonna be quite pissed of!!! and she could be one of the baddie of the next season ; she could try to take willow in the practice of black magic (remember season 4 episode with her wish spell and season 5 episode when she kicks glory's ass after she brain sucked tara).
I mean they both are very powerful witches and that would be interesting if willow turn bad!! not very bad-bad but just a little and not for a long time!!

And that backfire could bring us to another changes : anyanka could return too! that could be interesting with the wedding coming soon!

I don't know if what I read and post here is true, anyway that could be a start!!
So what do you think? Amy returning and becoming the next big bad?

the combined powers of Amy and Willow would be very powerful, the potential is there, but i think they have something quite different in store for us for the "big bad" in S6...

I've heard that there could be 4 or 5 mini baddies.

first, a gang of bikers vampire (in the first episode) ;
a trio of students practicing black magic (including the boy that made april bot and buffy bot - I don't remember his name ; and maybe jonathan - I'm not sure at all for him!) ;
or maybe amy could return and persuade willow to use her wicca strenght for bad spells.
or the first, in the form of jenny calendar ;
or anyanka? we know that xander is gonna freak out about his wedding, why anyanka could not return for revenge?
or Giles????? we know already about his dark side!! and ha said something strange in the the gift (talking about buffy : she's a hero, she's not like us - what does that mean? is it a hidden clue?).
Wow!! stop me, there's too many "ors"!!!

it's just rumours and spoilers found in the net but there's must be something true or a begining of truth at least in all that stuff!!
I hope so!!! a baddie knowing the gang from the inside (like willow, amy or anya) could be interesting to see how they're gonna react!

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but yeah, you were right about Amy (okay, Amy's been on my mind a lot lately). Truthfully, I wish that Amy would have joined the Trio to become a quartet. Here's my scenario for how that would have happened. Amy shows up at Willow's door and Willow slams the door in her face when Amy asks how she liked her dose of black magic (I'm pretty sure that was what happened, since it's been a long time since I've seen that episode). Angry, Amy seeks out the Trio; we don't truly know whether or not Amy knew about the Trio before Warren's death, but I'm guessing she did. She orders the Trio to distract Buffy and the gang while she hunts down Tara and kills her. Amy finds Tara and they fight, but because Amy is much stronger, she kills Tara. Meanwhile, Willow has been searching for Tara, and locates her just as Amy kills her. Willow becomes "Wicked Willow" and fights and kills Amy, then seeks out the Trio (Amy tells Willow that they distracted her while she sought out Tara). From this point on, the end of Season Six progresses as normal (Willow kills Warren, etc.). This alternate plotline would have required some rejiggering of Season Six's episodes, but I think it would have made a much better conclusion to the Willow/Amy storyline.
