Hi All - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Hi, all. I'm new to this forum but not to Buffy. I've been watching since Season 3. A friend of mine introduced me to the show. I have since seen all of the season 2 episodes, but I'm still missing most of season 1. Obviously I love the show, but mostly I've found I love the fandom. There is a lot of really intellectual discussion over BTVS, and for the most part people don't get nasty over it. There are some, but not nearly as many as in some other fandoms I've seen. I love Willow and Xander because I identify with them both really well, growing up the outsider and all. I also love Spike, because I think ultimately he has some of the same issues, he just has dealt with them a little different. I've never really been able to understand Buffy. It's not that I don't like her, I just don't get her. I love Giles for his dual nature. Angel I like much better now that he has his own show. I also like Cordelia and Wesley much better on Angel, than I ever did on BTVS. Anyway, a little about me. I'm a 23 year old student. Studying Political Science and Russian Studies, with a minor in Philosophy.

Hey Darkchilde78,

Welcome to the Buffy forum. I'm going to agree with you in that everyone's really nice and we discuss BTVS without flamethrowing etc. At the mo. we have a hot debate about whether Angel and Giles are actually the same character! It's hysterical and lots of fun. Check it out in the General Discussions forum.

And ofcourse everyone who likes fandom, LOVES fanfic. The Buffy forum has it's very own fanfic section......i know very exciting!

Anyway have fun and if you have any questions please ask.
