That Daniel and Janet have something going. Didn't everyone see Rite of Passage and that hand holding thing???

Sam and Jack I agree with but not until the end, although i do like all the UST along the way.

would the problem of no relationships while Jack is still her commanding officer be solved if she were to be promoted ?

No, it wouldn't because he would still be her commanding officer as the leader of SG-1, regardless of their rank. It's the fact that he is in charge of the unit that makes the realtionship impossible.

Well, we know that the daniel/ janet thing is impossible now. But I still have hopes for Sam and Jack. But right now it's up to Sam cuz Jack is satisfied at the mo. . He already made his move in Window of Opportunity, he probably wouldn't make a real move for quite a while. Sam is too military to make a move, and she is really good at hiding her feelings. In that way I kinda feel sorry for her.

I just hope that they get their act together near the end of the series, but I'd hate if it became the main focus of the show.

Jack can't date Sam because he is her commanding officer. He gives her orders and does her job evaluations. They aren't equals, he has a tremendous amount of power over her. If he were to ask her out, it would be a serious breach of ethics, no different than a teacher sleeping with a student, or a psychiatrist getting involved with a patient. More than a few military personnel have been court-martialed because they violated the regulations, some have even gone to jail.

However, considering that the only thing keeping them apart is that neither one wants to make some changes to his/her career path, it's hard to feel too sorry for them. You'd think if they were really so much in love Sam would transfer to another team or Jack would retire for the 3rd time. The only obstacle in their path is themselves.

so I had the strangest experience yesterday. My dog's name is Samantha, named after Sam of course. We ran into a dog named Jack. Me & Jack's owner had a hard tim separating Sam & Jack...coincience? I think not!:rolly2:

Love the piccies....the first one you posted of Sam and Jack sitting and kissing.....at SG4 Amanda said that the picture was taken between shots when her and Rick were playing around and now the piccie is everywhere and she can't get away from it.....
