Garibaldi was picked by Sinclair to head security on B5. They had worked together in the past and Sinclair knew he would be persistent and not tending to give into political pressure. Garibaldi is an alcoholic and trying to recover from it. He tends to paranoia but is good at his job. He figures out the plan to assasinate President Santiago but is shot in the back by his second in commander before he can stop it.
He is suspicious of Sheridan to start with but develops a good working relationship with him. He is captured by the Shadows and worked over by Bester and the Psi-Corp. He ends up turning against Sheridan and uncovers a plot to destroy the telepaths. He eventually helps free Sheridan. After the Interstellar Alliance is formed he becomes incharge of gathering intelligence. He has another bout with his alcoholism but with the help of Lise Hampton-Edgars puts his life back together. He marries Lise and takes over running Edgar industries.

Garibaldi: Oh boy....

Another great charater on the show, i must admit when i first saw an eppy of B5, i thought to myself "blimey, this must be a good show, they've got Bruce Willis on it"
