A really sweet and funny episode.

Every other time the gang have had time off, Jack's tried to take her fishing, but she's declined to do other projects... such as fixing motorbikes (still at the SGC base).
I was expecting her home to be different, more... I don't know, like an apartment with technical bits and bobs here and there.
The house just seemed too "homely" for a lady who claims she can't cook or sow to save her life.
I read that someone at Gatecon asked Amanda if she thought the house suited Carter's personalties.
Amanda said something along the lines off that it was different to watch she expected, but she like to think that the house belonged to Jacob (when he moved in series2 to be closer to Sam) and when he joined the Tok'Ra, Sam moved into that house.

I really wanted more for Sam in this episode (as in romance with Orlin wise, he was a nice guy :naughty, but I'm still happy with what I got.
Just wish she (and Daniel) weren't like the Black Widows of the SGC!

I thought the ep was gr8! At minimum, 9/10. The first time I watched it, I didn't hear Orlan say he had been forgiven, and thought he died, and was on the verge of tears! Then, watched it again, and realised, and was totally overjoyed.

I think I definately prefer this series to S4; it's got a lot of suspense in it, and they have more opportunities to kill people off (Orlan/Tyler - all expendable extras), but they don't, which I MUCH prefer.

I didn't realise it was S.P.F in Irresistable with Sarah Michelle Gellar; I'm gonna have to watch that film again!

This is the only thing I've seen him in. I've heard he's out of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. - If I ever see that program popping up on the box Im certainly gonna watch it!

Love Indiana Jones!
And S.P.F in the outfit? :YUM!!!: :naughty:

Just watched Simply Irresistable; SPF looked so different! Not as good looking as SG, and he just seemed really different. He's still one of my fave actors tho! :kisses:

Yes, real fancy Cowboy wear had to have fringes... borrowed from Native American plains traditions for best wear!

They had one Native American (It was Souix or Cheyenne) wedding dress (for male and female) with fringe that nearly dragged on the ground from all sections that could be fringed... at one time it was a status symbol...

Romance in Stargate

Now who says romance can't happen in SCI-FI? Of course it can happen. It has happened. It will continue to happen.

What has me troubled is that Carter is the only one getting it. She's similar to the internet junkie looking for the next date. She's been with (had contact) several people during the last six season.

Season 1: Emancipation (forcefully), Broca Divide w/jack, The first Commandment w/Jonas Hanson,
Season 2: The Tok'ra w/martouf
Season 3: Point Of View w/Jack
Season 4: Window Of Opportunity w/Jack, 2010 w/Joe, Exodus w/Martouf
Season 5: Ascension, w/alien

The bottom line is that we are guaranteed to see Carter in action in Season 6.....yipee!

Since this isn't a doctoral thesis, there may have been more instances I've overlooked. The author is responsible for the errors and oversights seen in this submission

Isn't it just typical... girl meets guy, guy walks through table, guy turns human for girl, girl starts to have feelings for guy, guy turns into a swirly ball of light to save girls life, then disappears into space without so much as a goodbye... honestly, if i had a pound for everytime thats happened to me! :laugh2:

I loved this episode, it was really funny but really sweet at the same time. I just think its mean of the writers that, the one time Sam gets a love interest, she doesn't even get to snog him! But at least that means she's still available for Jack... how jealous did he look when Sam said she had a date!

So the 'big secret in the garage' actually was just something in the garage... little bit of a let down. But speaking of which, that teeny stargate was so cute!

I've got to mention Teal'c in a cowboy hat, i was in absolute hysterics at that! :laugh2:

There were some good quotes as well, my favourites were:

Teal'c: Do you believe Major Carter has become mentally unstable?
Jack: No more than the rest of us.

Jack: Look, Carter, here's the bottom line. No one has seen what you've seen, and until that happens, we're all gonna think you're nuts.

Teal'c: I have read of a place where humans do battle in a ring of jello.
Jack: Call Daniel.

Can someone please explain to me when Simmons is introuced in this? I was just watching the tape (taped off syndi) and he just shows up in the breifing room in one scene (Where the SG-16 guy is talking about rigging the Naquada Reactor) and nobody says "This is Frank Simmons from the Pentagon" or anything. It's just like they all recognize him. But Gateworld shows that this is his first appearance. What did I miss (I was watching closley since whe I was taping it I didn't see an intro either). PLEASE HELP!!!

Nope - I think you're right: for once they cut to something mid-scene.... with the assumption that the preceding conversations and introductions have taken place.

It's unusual but does miss out some of the usual exposition. Keeps the flow going.
