Favourite Original Trilogy Moments.

What parts in the first 3 star wars movies have you fast forwarding and rewinding every couple of months when you feel the urge?

Mine for example would be:

A New Hope:
Darth Vader lifting some poor bloke into the air.
Stormtrooper banging his head against the door frame.
The run in the Death Star trench.

Empire Strikes Back:
Battle of Hoth, I love AT-ATs.
The Bounty Hunters briefing. (Bossk kicks ***)
Any scene where Vader speaks.
The battle between Luke and Vader.

Return of the Jedi:
The Rancor (I loved the design)
The Emperors Arrival
The dialogue between Vader and Luke on Endor shortly before Luke is taken to the Emperor.
The Swoop chase scene
AT STs
The Space Battle
Father against Son
All scenes from there to the final credits.

You guys have any favourites?

I have to say I love the space bar scene. Especially the part where Luke accidentally ticks off another patron...

I have been in the habit - in the past - of watching the end space battle repeatedly (though whizzing past the Ewoks). The moment when Darth repeatedly looks aside, then grabs the Emperor, is one of those great moments, and the apex of the entire double trilogy. When it came on TV even my mum shouted out in excitement.

The opening scene of Star Wars itself - the ambassador ship chased down by the Imperial Destroyer - is also such a superb cinematic moment. The way Lucas made the planets look real was one of the absolutely crowning moments of Star Wars - because it made you accept the reality of being in space. And the way the destroyer gradually fills the entire screen...just superb!

Well, here are my two cents:

Ep-IV ANH

-Imperial Grand Council on the Death Star

-Cantina scenes with Han Solo (GREEDO DOES NOT SHOOT FIRST!!)

-'Cloak and Dagger' escapades during the heroes' getaway

-Preparations for the battle of Yavin (looks like a WWII 'daring squadron'
stituation...and it's nice!)

Ep-V TESB

-Escape from Hoth (C3-PO's golden arms waving around and Han
punching the Falcon's panels into life above all...;-)

-Any scene with Vader dispatching some lackey

-Various Falcon's malfunctions

-'I am your Father!' 'NOOOOOOOOOOO!!'

Ep-VI RotJ

-Leia in slave-girl attire (ok, I have a dirty mind but it's a nice change
from her overchaste white garments)

-Space battle scene (the one on Endor is lame in comparison and
BTW we ALL knew Lucas had originally in mind to have the Death
Star orbit around Kashykk and the wookie slaves to rise aganist
their masters...which would have made much more sense than a
bunch of furballs overcoming a legion of Palpatine's 'best
troops'...wonder what the rest were like...;-)

-Vader discovering about Luke's sister and Luke almost giving in
to Rage and hate (GREAT SCENE!)

-Vader's skeleton in X-Ray vison when Palpatine engulfs him in
dark side lightnings.
