Merry Xmas, Mr Bush What do you reckon George Dubya Bush will present the Iraqi oilfields to his dad for Xmas? Seems they want any and every pretense to send in the military to secure the industrial resources. Maybe Saddam forgets to send Dubya a Xmas card. The way things are going, that will probably be enough. So watch out for that UN Security Council Resolution on missed Xmas cards.

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush Bush wants any excuse to go to war, I'm not at all cynical (well maybe a little), but it wouldn't surprise me if Sadam gets blamed for some American initiated terrorist attack before the year is up, in which we find our selfs at war. To be honest, I think that as soon as 9/11 happened, and Sadam's name had been suggested as a possible culprit, his days were numbered. Without meaning to offend anyone, there is still no believeable evidence the atrocity was commited by Bin Laden. The whole "War On Terrorism" issue is riduculas. It is contrived and xenophobic, will we attack Northern Ireland because the IRA are there - no. Will we attack Japan because they have the Aum cult - no. Will we destroy America and the UK because there are terrorists there - dont be stupid. Will we attack 2 countries we know little about (Afghanistan and Iraq), because they are different (, or for oil in the latter case) - yes, without question. It is a well documented fact that Britain and America through their blockade of Iraq over the past decade, has actually caused the deaths of more innocents than 9/11, and this is not a terrorist organisation but an elected government, so ask youself the question, who is the real killer. I dont think it is the fault of the people, they get to choose their leaders from a group of people with the same aims and goals, all destined to act in the same way, none of whom hold the real power. And they call it democracy. Happy Christmas daddy, watch me kill a million innocent men women and children, then we can all go to a masonic lodge in the woods, dress up like KKK, chant and sacrifice plastic dolls to a 50 foot wooden owl floating down a river. Long live the western political system!

![]() Btw - I notice that Donald Rumsfeld today declared that weapons inspections were not enough, because they know what Saddams got. Guess they kept the sales receipts. Which means that they're still gunning for fireworks for Christmas. | |

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush Hmm…I just made a near admission to watching daytime TV! Nooo! My excuse is that I have a late breakfast and read the news on Telenext. I just happened to see John Simpson on TV - the World Affairs editor for the BBC - so I left it on. I just noted a memorable image from a story he related - on how one time he was in the south of Afghanistan, approached by a bunch of warlords - replete with beards and AK47's…wearing make-up and golden high-heel shoes. He commented on how there were a few odd customs in Afghanistan, but the imagery in that one is priceless.

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush Seems the USA is a little embarrassed about the Iraqi dossier - claims that US companies are listed which have supplied Iraq with the very hardware that the US government wants rid off. BBC article On another note, something on BBC Ceefax, not mention on the website, is the US putting up around $80 million to give to Iraqi dissident movements "looking to oust Saddam". Crikey, folks - you'd think they'd learn their lesson about support counter insurgents??

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush Certainly funny how Bush is seeing that the report is edited! Underneath all that rhetoric about Saddam being evil, there's the unspoken fact that the USA sold him the opportunity to build chemical and biological weapons in the first place! And now they want to hide the fact? Oh, please! Mr Bush and his clean white panties! ![]() Actually, on a serious note, here is an copy of the report: "We haven't got anything! Bush is a Zionist tosser!" And that's it! Repeated over 10,000 pages! ;D :P

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush The weapons used in the gulf were produced in Britain and sold to Iraq by the British. Also I love the irony in the fact that if Saddam does have any weapons of mass destrucion left, and lets face it it seems highly unlikely, George Bush Junior could end up starting a war with Iraq over technologies his old man sold Saddam. Not that I beleive for a second any war with Iraq would have anything to do with weapons inspections!!!!!

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush No, but I looked up "wank" so now I know (And knowing is half the battle!-G.I. Joe!). Actually, the bulk of Saddams weapons in the gulf war were from the former Soviet Union. Right now his most advanced weapons are from China (probably with a few missles and chemical weapons from North Korea). Most of the weapons he got from "Oceana" were conventional weapons that had long since been expended in the endemic regional warfare. The WMD's are from all over the map, particularly the nuclear material Saddam's been buying up (The "Engaloushac" peoples have never had a significant part of selling those to Saddam, nor the Americas [north or south] for various reasons). Okay, another question. Why the hell would Saddam be a "tosser" or a "wanker" when he has 20 palaces in Bagdad alone and God only knows how many mistresses? I mean, get real!

Re:Merry Xmas, Mr Bush Okay, keeping to the topic - what I find most frustrating now is watching the entire characde being played out. The decision to invade Iraq was taken a long time ago - but a stage is being played upon. When I saw a report at the beginning of the year (2002) stating that Iraq was being targetted for April (a pivotal time then for the issue of inspections), I was all for blair pushing Bush to take the issue through the UN. But now...I guess when you feel that Iraq will be invaded, short of Saddam Hussein suddenly fleeing, then the whole inspections and report process becomes one big terrible sham. And somehow that seems worse, because the world is being played as guillable fools. No, Saddam is not a nice guy. But watching the sham being played out, demanding our sincerity, is pretty sick, really. George Dubya Bush - if you want rid of him that bad, just do it - get it over with - so we can prepare for the consequences.
