Thanks, but it was about a year ago now when I first asked the original question, and I still am not sure if all the later era Stormtroopers are meant to be clones or not.

Many of the later Stormtroopers ARE (Were?) clones.

However, not ALL of them were.

You could be put on stormtrooper duty if you questioned your superiors too much (as happened to Davin Felth, you can read his story in "Tales for the Mos Eisley Cantina")

Don't think all Stormtroopers are clones. I think Han Solo was a stormtrooper when he worked for the Empire.

As for Boba Fett..

*SPOILER*

He us also a clone of Jango Fett but he takes Boba as his son

My guess is that the Clone armies that are built up in Episode II, change into armies of Stormtroopers over time, and that many of the soldiers, but not all, are therefore Clones.

That fits all the given facts, and makes sense.

After we see Episode II we might learn more.

OFF TOPIC:

There is a spoiler tag already set up here: use {spoiler} and {/spoiler} but with [] brackets instead of {}. No need to make up your own system.

From this 'Ask Yoda' site:

Quote:
Will stormtroopers appear in Episode III and do the clonetroopers become Imperial stormtroopers later on?
Mike Schneider, age 17, New York, USA

Appear in Episode III do the clonetroopers. After the Empire comes into power, replaced by Stormtroopers they will be. Much cheaper it is to use humans as stormtroopers than to grow clones.

I just found this:

Quote:
The reasons why Clonetroopers are not Stormtroopers:

1. The Stormtroopers didn't have New Zealand accents... All Clonetroopers in AotC do (Jango Fett).
2. The Clonetroopers in AotC have accurate shots and can see out of their helmets... Stormtroopers can't do either.

One other thing to think about: Obi Wan said that Stormtroopers have "weak minds", that seems to imply they have the same docile, order-following DNA as the Clonetroopers do.
