I saw this on the DANIELites list yesterday, and I think this may give hope to some:

Showtime is only contracted for five seasons. The Sci-Fi channel is picking up the first 5 seasons in 2002. I can definately see them jumping at the chance for first run episodes if MGM decides on more.

How SWEET the sound (why did I say that? I was no where NEAR close to being born when the Honeymooners was in top form....)

Lightbulb Instead of letters, send box of tissue with "Send More" on the side

In addition to a letter or home made card or story board (too bad I can't arrange to shoot a 1 minute thing with someone - have a great idea) I think I'm going to send a box of tissues to MGM that says whatever it was that Jackson put on the box he threw back through the gate ("Send more" I think).

If everyone sent them a box of tissues tho without some further explanation they might just get confused. Probably best to send it to MGM's dept that handels Shwotime or put someting like "We want a 6th season" on the other side. Would guess that cost would still be under a buck or so, and it should have a lot of impact. Other "campaigns" in US received time on the radio and news for similar stuff. Like when a lot of people sent tea bags in to Congress. If you live over seas then maybe one of those little dinky plastic wrapped packs of kleenex to save on shipping.

Just an idea.

Koala, you are just a fount of ideas, aren't you?!

He did indeed say, "Send more" on the box. Perhaps send the boxes, then a few days later send a letter.... or maybe send them together with the envelop tied around the box...

Wait, scratch that last one; the post office might think it is a threat or a bomb or such...

I'd just like to say that i have only seen up to season 2 where i live and i dont have pay tv to see the rest, i am currently trying to buy all the dvds of every season so i can watch them all.
mgm cant possibly ignore all the letters and emails and they would be stupid if they did!!! they can not possibly run out of ideas for the show and the only way to end it would be to destry the goa'uld completely and we arnt good enough for that yet (well maybe not) but keep the letters rolling we will change their minds about stargate.

Great idea about the tissues!!:rolly2: Lurve it:kisses:

I'll send them one of those little 10 packs.... seeing as I live in Aussie I think that's fair enough..... it'll probably cost like $5 just to send that

Oh well, it's for stargate!

What's the address we need to send it to????

I agree that the tissue thing is a good idea (great EVEN!), but I really don't think {showing definate distain here for the SUITs} that they would know what the hell you were talking about. Even if you sent it to the offices of exeutives (unless it was Exec. Prod. RDA) who WORK for the show, they probaby wouldn't get it.

Hate to sound like the defeatist I am, but.....

Hey, the ppl who DID get the joke and point would get a kick ou of it. I think the idea is original, funny, and big enough to garner attention.

PS, nice to see ya posting more Gypsy

I'd be here a lot more Morrigan but we are short staffed at work and I'm looking for a new flat. Another week or so and I should be here as much as I used to be on Ausgate and the DL.

'Tis good to hear you'll be joining us soon.

I'll sit here and hope and wish that you get enough ppl to ease your workload a bit, and you find a nice flat, and a good area, for a reasonable price.
