Children of the Gods Mistakes

I have seen Children of the Gods several times (seeing that i have it on DVD) and notice some mistakes.


The first major mistake is .... what is the rank of Kawalsky.

I know it is suppose to be Major ,but several times when he is in fatigues (Camo uniform) he has Captain bars on. Only time I saw him wear the rank of Major is when he as wearing his Class A dress uniform. Another mistake is when on Chulak a Airman refers to him as Captain not Major.


Another mistake is when Jack is being escorted thru Cheyenne Mountain, the airman is wearing the rank of Lt. Colonel (or Major) and has Sergeant Strips ...... What rank is this person suppose to be

Does anyone know of any other mistakes in this episode or in the series :alienooh:

lessee...in cotg jack's watch says 1:57 yet he then says we have 90 minutes until they lock us out.

in prodigy sam is on hailey's left as they leave the sgc but on her right as they arrive (or vice versa)

in the light, danny is in bad shape, time is of the esence and they take the time to dress him, including boots?

in small vics they go to p3x234 but return from p4x234

in hathor they come out of a elevator or room on level 25 but turn a corner and are in the gateroom which is level 28

teal'c's tattoo is upside down for much of enemy within

danny's sleeves change length many times in maternal instinct

hammy in 1969 has gorgeous brown eyes, problem is current day hammy has blue eyes

the sarc in serpents lair also seems to repair clothes as well as flesh...both danny & skarra get their clothes fixed

the view from danny's apt in the light...colorado springs does NOT have a harbor(they don't really even have a lake)

and more that i just can't recall right now

Yes, and in 1969 the young Hammond was a lot taller than DSD who was never that tall...... (and young Hammond had brownish hair not reddish like DSD and a much smaller nose than DSD) Glad Skydiver was not the only one who knew a red head like DSD had light blue eyes not brown ones....

But Dressing Daniel in THE LIGHT annoyed me MOST OF ALL! The man was supposed to be near death and in an emergencwith life support failing and they get him out of his hospital gown and into uniform....PLEEEEEASE!!!

ooh, in tokra 2 when they're waiting for sam to come through, the tech goes 'no signal yet sir' well duh...the gate ain't open, can't have a signal without a gate.

in double jeopardy when danny bumps into the dhd...it wobbles

and in the other side, alar sends them his address...complete with earth's point of origin...no way in heck he knew that.

and for all of season 4 they use the o
/\ symbol as the point of origin but they're using the beta gate whose point of origin is IO
or something close...forgot to change that footage.<G>

and the footage of the c-130 taking off in watergate i think is the same footage they used in touchstone, just reversed

Has anyone else noticed they always go through the gate in the same order, so when the come out the other side they can use recycled footage? Wasn't so noticable before Daniel chopped his hair, but I've seen him go through with short hair and come out the other side with long locks....I think Urgo is a nice, visible example.

When Teal'c pulls up the weapons on the ha'tak, he says 'requiring target'. Now I could be wrong, but shouldn't that be 'acquiring target'?

I think that is most interesting that they recycle the footage of them exiting the gate. I have to watch out and see that, i think it would be funny to see Daniel enter with short hair and come out with long hair or visa versa

And if you look VERY closely at intermmitent episodes you will see that the gate dial and/or iris is superimposed optically - in mirror reverse!

[I was trying to draw all the glyphs, so was playing the DVDs on single frame for any shots with the gate in, hence my observation: the glyphs change direction, as do the iris "leaves" :blush: ]


And also, (saves starting a new thread): how come they can install a major assembly such as the iris (huge, complex, titanium) WITHIN the gate assembly itself with no sign of any motors or actuators, all within 24 hours, whilst they are on the Abydos jaunt collecting Daniel (and losing Sha're/Ska'ara).
