eBooks vs Paper in Self-Publishing

Hi all,

I am a newbie to this site and I've recently dived into the self-publishing pool, but only electronically. This was mostly for financial reasons, as the licence for the cover art would have been more expensive if it was for a print version of the book as well.

What I wanted to ask is, which is actually better for a beginner, electronic or paper? Personally I like the feel of a paperback, there's nothing better than being curled up in bed with a real book. But, that said, iPads and Kindles seem to be growing in popularity and that trend doesn't seem to be slowing.

Anyway, I would welcome and appreciate opinions!

Thanks,
Tris
