| PILOT PT.2 Escaping from the ice tornedo, the sliders arrive on an Earth where the USA fell to the 'domino effect' and is a communist state. They help a group of revolutionaries whose leader is Wade Wells, in an attempt to get Remmy out of prison. The prison governer is Arturo and he impersonates himself. They slide back to what they think is their own world. |

| I think I have seen this episode a bunch of times now. I still like it, even though the portrayal of the communist US is a bit caricatured and overbearing. But fun nonetheless. There are some things that seem unlikely - if the Russians took over the US, would the have kept the same money, but with Lenin and some red ink on it? I doubt it. Would people be leading even vaguely similar lives (I am thinking of the bloke that is interrogating Rem) - he is a lawyer in that reality too. I LOVE the idea of Wade being a revolutionary commander, and the rapsters on the tv show were hilarious. Yet another appearance from Gary Jones - he's funny ![]() Great cliffhanger ending! "Hi... Dad" Dun-dun-duuuuuuh! |
