if we are going to have distinctions of posh then let me put forth a plea for "Yukon Posh" which I think sounds more distinguished than "Campfire Posh" and ranks social distintion amongst wildernessy types.
Those who know how to camp know that one must catch one's own dinner. cook it on a smokeless fire and have a fine sized bed rock to warm one's toes on. Dishes are ether well seasoned cast iron, or collapsible tin. And it is the finest distinction in life to have a doe and her children wander through camp of an evening paying their respects. One should be up in good time to offer the sun a cup of strong coffee, heaven knows he needs it, and up late enough to have a lengthy philosophical discussion with the stars. |
