| Re: Star Wars in 3D I saw the movie and thought they did an exceptional job with the 3D effects, although to achieve this effect most things had to be blurred more to give the impression of depth. I've seen movies that were not meant to be 3D (Clash of the Titans) and it gave me a headache watching it. While the fast moving scenes are difficult to appreciate in 3D , even for those filmed for that purpose, I was pleased to see it done so well in this new format. I prefer films in 2D, but this is a nice option to me if occasionally I want to see it 'differently' once in a while. CG Yoda was amazing and some of the limited space battle gave me the same vertigo feeling I had as a kid watching the forced perspective of diving into the Death Star trench back during the original release. I think 3D is still a novelty, but I do think animated films and movies like Tron Legacy use this feature better that live action flicks. |
