You guys probably already know this, but Joss hated what they did to the Buffy movie. He regretted giving up so much control over the final product. He wanted the Buffy that we have today from the very start. Fortunately he eventually won out.

i'm glad that the series is the way it is. the show would get real old real fast if it was like the movie. i like the fact that the movie kind of shows like another take on the whole slayer thing.
