This is the one thing that always bothered me about the whole Dahok thing. It started on Xena and was really intense with the way they built it up and what they did to Gabriel and everything. Yet there wasn't really anything mentioned on Hercules about it.

Then you have that big run of shows about Dahok on Herc and Iolaus getting killed and taken over and where was Xena during all this time? It was originally her fight. I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction between the two shows with this story arc.

Comments?

Cheers,

Xena was busy mourning Gabrielle's supposed death because of Dahak... but I know what you mean. And this always bothered me too. I also always thought it was a bad idea to have both Iolaus and Gabrielle die at the end of that season for both shows... especially when Gabrielle was suddenly back to her old self by the fourth episode like nothing had ever happened while Herc was in so much pain and Iolaus was dead-dead. So to speak.

I love Xena. I am first and foremost a Xenite... but I have to say that TPTB spent a lot more time and energy on Herc over those months than they did Xena.

And the really odd thing is that it's almost like Dahak got tired of waiting for Hope to amount to anything and just took off... we saw Hope and her kid again on Xena... but never a single additional mention of Dahak...

I agree. If Dahok was so bad what happened to him? Where is he now? Something that big and powerful doesn't just go away.

They say Xena is ending, but I think they should tie up some lose ends first. There is still a show in the Dahok issue, and with it they could bring Hercules back to help her in her show, like when she was born in his show, and branched off into her own.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought they should have put a bit more thought into this whole issue on both shows.

I remember watching that whole thing on Herc with my husband and he was wondering the same thing I was re: Xena.

Alas, Xena is ending... and I know a good deal about the 7 episodes we have left and haven't hear anything about Dahak... I am working on a 7th virtual season of Xena though... think I might pitch the whole Dahak thing as an idea to the group.

Mything - did Herc kill Dahak or is he still bombing around? I still haven't seen the last few eps of season 4 of Herc or any of season 5.

"You poor baby"

You have an emotional rollercoaster of a ride in store for you then.

I hope Mythin.. can help with the Dahok question, because i for one can't remember them killing Dahok.
I just remember them getting Hope finally after she had a child by Aries, god of war. (I'm sure that wasn't a hard
role to play, his lover)

LOL!

Yup... I think it can be confirmed that both Hope and her little spawn "The Destroyer" - which was Ares' baby, wasn't it? Wait... it's interesting that Ares never seemed to care that his kid got killed - have been sent to tartarus... or wherever Dahak's kids and grandkids go...

Unfortunately my memory is spotty. We were moving from DC to Tennessee during the time when these episodes were aired and I missed a few and didn't manage to catch them on reruns.

What I kind of remember is that Dahak took over Iolaus because he needed someone with a warrior's heart. Herc had to 'exorcise' Dahak from Iolaus and managed to do so, but I don't think he actually killed him ... just sent him back to where ever he came from or imprisoned him. Tell you what, I know some people who would know for sure about those episodes. I'll write to them and get the answer.

Cheers,
