Planning server move

Last night I sat here for half-and-hour, trying to post some resources up, but the server the forum was on refused to respond.

Nearly 4 hours later I received a reply from the support section of the hosting company that there was no apparent problem.

This is merely the latest in a string of issues relating to the server this forum is run on. Although the errors are usually minor, they are persistant, and I do not believe that this acceptable any longer.

Therefore I am now looking at my options for moving this forum to a completely different server, datacenter, and web hosting company.

I'll keep you all informed of any actual movement when it's about to happen. When it does happen, these boards will likely be closed down for up to 3 days (though likely open before). And when they do re-open, everything will look a lot different.

Everything is still in the planning stage, though, and will not likely be implemented for a couple of weeks. I will give fair warning when it happens, though.

Does this mean Zelda won't be running the forum anymore?

There have actually been a long string of errors with the Zelda server. At the momentstats having beenserved up for days - just befoer that the server wasn't very responsive, and immediately preceding that we've had heavy loads on the server freezing this place up. All that in just the last month. We need someone that's going to perform more reliably, so I'm in the process of setting something else up.
