I think that everyone had got used to Crusher...and hated Pulaski....I think if Pulaski had stayed a couple more seasons then everyone would have got used to her...but I was EXTREMELY happy when Crusher came back.. Carkedit :dead:

I liked the VOY episode where The Doctor took Kes' suggestion, and programmed himself with the symptoms of a virus in order to better understand how a crewmember feels when sick. (Actually, his real intention was to provide an example of how one should continue to perform one's tasks normally, without complaining.) Does anyone else remember this episode? The Doctor was unaware that Kes had added a couple of hours to the duration of his "illness" and was convinced something was horribly wrong! It was quite funny! I enjoy Robert Picardo's acting. little star :star:

I voted for Voyager's doc, he's the one i'd want to operate on me if it came down to it, he knows everything about all medicines and treatments, and he's a comedian ![]() All the docs tend to be strong characters, McCoy was great, same Bashir and Polauski (sp) Crusher has quite a laid back personality, but she gets the job done as well...

lol dave i have to say it would be a tough choice between mccoy and the doctor as mccoy was the best in his time but like dave sed without the emitter would be useless but am voteing for the doc anyway

To get more serious again (if we have to) I've just watched 'Lineage' VOY seventh season episode, and there is another reason not to choose the holographic doctor. Actually, the point in question has been explored before in Voyager, but until that episode, I hadn't realised that it would be so easy to do it. S p o i l e r w a r n i n g Basically, B'Elanna alters the docs program, in order to get him to perform a procedure that he was earlier against doing on moral grounds. She seemed to do it quite easily, and without raising any alarms. In earlier episodes, the doctors ethical subroutines have been deleted, but everyone was aware of it. 'Lineage' shows that it could be done without you realising, Tom found out in an accidental kind of way, when he asked Icheb a question about the medical procedure.

Julian's winning!!! He should......not just because of the genetic modifications. But just because! He's dedicated, enthuaistic, compassionate, funny, and does seem to have learnt some modesty over the years. Oh while we're on the subject there's a quote I really liked from a ST book (can't remember which one now!!) But Riker said (about Julian): "Despite what I think of the man outside the infirmary, inside it he's God!" ![]() Maria :star:
