| Re: Star wars EP 3 when are u getting yours? I finally ended up buying it - watching it without the hype and it wasn't so bad as I expected, but it wasn't so good, either.
The opening "battle" isn't really a battle - it's just a disconnected series of images mostly focused in the background. No reason or build up, and nothing really engaging (the attack on the Death Star in Return of the Jedi still remains the best space battle, IMO).
Lots of the film remains disconnected - I have no idea why General Grievous was needed to lead the droids instead of Count Dooku, but all he really seemed to do was pad the film.
The Wookies section seemed gratuitous and pointless - it's a real shame he wasn't able to use them as apparently planned for Return of the Jedi.
Last 15mins or so of the film was decent enough, but that's mainly because of the tie-ins to the original films.
Overall, rather than say Revenge of the Sith was the best of the three prequels, probably better to say it was the least worse. |
