Conner is a lot better than Duncan. That's an opinion of course, but I think Duncan is mostly just plain annoying. He so goody two shoe's that it's pathetic.

[font=century gothic][color=darkblue]Connor is a much more interesting character -- he's more colorful, tho a smidge more melancholy --- he doesn't run around trying to fix everything -- he's more 'laid back' in an uptight, mind-your-own-business kind of way ---

see -- i did kinda like Duncan in the beginning -- but then after that stupid trip to Scotland that he took where he hooked up w/ his cousin -- ewwwwwwww --- he just kinda went - stupid or something -- tho evil/dark quickening Duncan was kinda cool --

however -- i would NOT have gotten rid of the dark quickening like that -- that was dumb -- here Duncan, fight "skippy the evil twin" (or so his stunt double was dubbed - or so i heard anyway) -- and you're dark quickening will be gone if you win -- argh - how elementary --- at least it was Methos who saved his scrawny butt --- Duncan was a dork about that too ---

oh - then "Forgive us Our Trespasses" -- Methos was gonna whack that moron who was chasing Duncan - and Duncan wouldn't let him -- for some holier-than-tho moral reason -- Methos didn't care WHY Duncan wouldn't kill him -- Methos was following the rules of the game and was gonna take another head -- end of story (yeah, he was doing it to save Duncan's neck, but he still didn't care about Duncan's reasons for NOT killing the guy) --

okay - i'm done - again ---

Yeah...I liked Duncan at first too. But pretty soon the whole higher moral ground than anyone else thing just got annoying. I was always suprised that he has lasted as long as he has considering that element of his personality.

yeah -the only reason he's NOT dead is b/c he's the main character -- no other reason --- it's not b/c he's the best fighter, or the most powerful immie -- it's b/c the show was made for him

yeah - that sounds trite - but it's true --- the writers just got all weird after season 3 -- like Duncan slept w/ his cousin and had an epiphany and was all-of-a-sudden this new and enlightened individual who couldn't possibly do any wrong --- what a dork - and the writers needed some serious help --

btw -- anyone know WHY Phillip John Taylor stopped writing for Highlander????

So who would you consider to be the most symathetic villian or baddie from Highlander?

I agree that Duncan only wins because he's the main character. He's just not ruthless enough to be "The One". Connor on the other hand had that little extra something that made him being the winner much more believable I think.

Connor or Methos could do it --- but no way will Duncan be the last one ---- nope - not gonna happen ---- not if I have anything to say about it!!!!!!

i could do w/ Methos -- Connor would be great too!! but - ugh -- how boring to have Duncan always winning --

wouldn't the series have been better if they had showcased more than one immie??

Yeah....it would have been a lot better...of course I think it would have ended better if they had whacked Duncan...but that's a personal opinion. *shrugs*
