Do you think if you applied they might tell you that you were "Too early"?

Man Creates Time Machine

I'm just passing along what I read on 'Ananova', but be aware that I wouldn't believe anything I read in the 'Sun':

Man creates time machine

A man from Wiltshire has built himself a time machine - just like the one in the hit Michael J Fox movie.

Martin Fillery spent £10,000 turning a clapped-out DeLorean DMC-12 into a copy of the motor in the 1985 film.

It even has a "flux capacitor", time circuit gauges and atmospheric smoke vents like Marty McFly's machine reports The Sun.

Martin, 33, said: "I loved the film so much when I was younger. None of my mates believed me when I said I'd have a DeLorean one day - but I proved them wrong."

He bought the 2.8-litre stainless steel beast with trademark gullwing doors for £12,000 from the US six months ago.

Then he scoured auction site eBay for more than 100 parts to make the machine.

Musician Martin, of Westbury said: "I got a flux capacitor for £300 which looks exactly like the one in the film.

"Unfortunately, it doesn't make time travel possible but I love driving it around and seeing people's reactions."

He is now selling the 120mph car for £19,995 to fund a TV show about cars in classic films.

He said: "It's a wrench but it was never about the money."
It was that Flux Capacitor that was the hardest part to find when I tried to do it.

I never thought of looking on ebay for one.

Re: Time Machine

Anyone think the futuristic train was better than the Delorean?

It seemed like the Doc and his family actually lived on it, and it had been modified to fly. In contrast, three people in the car was a tight fit.

Re: DeLorean Time Machine

One bit of trivia I read before was that the Delorean was only chosen in one of the last drafts, earlier on it had been a few things including a fridge but they changed it because they didn't want to risk any kids playing in unused fridges and getting stuck.

Re: DeLorean Time Machine

Always loved the car. I found out the other day that Lotus designed the chassis for the DeLorean.

I liked the idea of the train, and it fit in very well with the era. Still, the car was so iconic...Can't help but like it.

Re: DeLorean Time Machine

The train was just...well...a train. The DeLorean was a work of masterpiece.
