Alien 5 Does anybody know anything about another sequel. I heard the Aliens reach Earth and Sigorney Weaver will be in it (even though she only just escaped twice, died, was cloned with part Alien DNA and attacked again- would she really want to?) I read it on a site which I can't get to load anymore, so I can't give you anything else. The site was http://www.wolfevents.co.uk/sq-online/ and it does load now.

I think they now have a licence to bring back Ripley as many times as tehy want for sequels (for as long as Sigourney wants to ), they can keep on cloning her...But would it make a good premise for a film? It would be essentially the same as Alien Ressurection, they would be cloning her for the same reasons, only the support cast and location would be different..

Don't want to burst your bubble but ... Xpose#54 Alien 5 Not Alive Once could speculate that there is a guy who sits in his room and, every now and then, fishes through the feast of genre movies in development hell, picks one at random, and refreshes the long-dead rumor that it will finally get to the screen. This month Alien 5 gets an airing, only to be debunked by the woman in the know, Sigourney Weaver. The mammoth sum of $22 million was offered up this time around, a figure that would have made Miss Weaver the highest-paid actress in the world. Sadly though, it was all fanboy dreaming, as the woman who put the RIP into Ripley revealed. "I was interested to read that I was doing it for a phenomenal amount of money," Sigourney told Syndicated. "Unfortunately, it wasn't true. At least the sum. And I haven't really talked to Fox about making another. People come up to me on the street saying, 'Hey, Alien 5! Great, when's it gonna happen?' And I go, 'Wait, wait, wait a minute!'" So, once again sent to its room without supper, the fifth Alien outing seems to have vanished from our sights. Still, wouldn't it be better to wait for Joss Whedon to be free enough to take on the project again? Yeah, we thought so too. Cheers,

Don't you just hate it? They come out with a fancy boxed set and then they make another sequel and put out another boxed set with it in it and just to make it look appealing they tell you that there are added scenes, etc. that aren't available on the first. ![]() Cheers,

The Sun. I've already told you not to believe what you read in 'The Sun'. I think an 'Alien' film set on Earth would cost them too much money in sets, never mind Sigorney Weavers wages. You can't just film endless metal walkways, you have to have them go downtown. They would need to be very sure it was going to be a box-office success first.

screw Weaver, the 5th Alien film is close to being green-lighted without her... with RIDLEY SCOTT returning to direct a prequel that explains the origins of the species. from imdb.com ---- Ridley Scott Weighs Up Alien 5 Director Ridley Scott is seriously considering making a new Alien film - explaining where the terrifying creatures came from. Scott directed the first movie, 1979's Alien, from the four film franchise starring Sigourney Weaver, and is now trying to finalize a story for Alien 5 - which he sees as a prequel exploring the creation of the killer alien life forms. He says, "I'm seriously mulling it over. I think it would be a lot of fun, but the most important thing is to get the story right. We should go back to where the alien creatures were first found and explain how they were created. No one has ever explained why. I always figured a battleship carrying bio-mechanical organisms that could be weapons was sent into space with some space jockey who didn't last." ---- the first good Alien V news to come by so far.
