| Just how extended?
Just how extended are the extended editions? When you hear that there's "40 minutes extra" I somehow assumed that it's just a couple of long extra scenes tacked on - but from what I've been hearing, there's a lot of detail present in current scenes entirely missing - so we see a very edited version at the cinema.
I have noticed specific parts in the trailers that weren't in the cinema editions - for example, in the ROTK trailer you see Eomer grieving with his father's body, and one of the hobbits being knighted into service of Theoden - neither I remembered seeing. |
