MS for sure!
When I read the bit about him mimicing JS in the first few episodes, my mind was drawn to COTG, when he's on Abydos. I just love the bit when he shows up, and the way he speaks to Jack. Like he'd seen him in weeks rather than a year or so.
He's very good at being Daniel, and has adapted the character well. I saw my 'Serpents song' vid yesterday, and decided that I was more firghtened (umm, hypothetically) of Daniel at that moment, then of Apophis!

There really is no comparison. MS is a young , studly hunk and JS is a geeky, fairy boy. Now who'd you rather look at ladies? :rolly2:

For me, it is the person I saw the most fequently in the role, so that would have to be Michael. I identify the face, voice, mannerism, etc with the role.

I found the show the middle of second season and literally devowered 2nd season on prime time as I filled in on S1 on syndication, so I was getting at least twice as much SG-1 a week as most.

Now I will admit, when I resaw the movie while I was watching SG-1, I found it hard to keep the right face in my mind whhhhhile thinking about the very first episodes in S1 as Michael had done such a good job of charrying over the role. But for me, 'Daniel Jackson' is 'Michael Shanks'.

The fact that he's not hard opn the ears and eyes is frosting on the cake.

I voted MS too but only as Daniel Jackson. In other words I like the charachter as played by MS but I don't like MS very much. Does that make sense?

Yeah, I think so...

I know what you mean...Liking the part of a show doesn't mean to like the actor who plays the part...
But I like both, Michael and Danny!!!

Well, I think neither James or Michael are geeky, it's just the part of Daniel Jackson and in my opinion they both did or rather do (related to Mike) a great job, it's just I prefer Michael playing Daniel...
