LoTR and Fraggle Rock Similarity

When Saruman was making all the orcs in that pit, and they were mining stuff and throwing trees down, I thought it looked like a demented Fraggle Rock. Was I the only one?

LOL! Probably!

But I'll not be able to watch Fellowship the same way again.

Re: LoTR and Fraggle Rock Similarity

I don't see the similarity at all - the caves in Fraggle Rock were light and the walls glittered (at least, that's how I remember it - it was forever ago) but in ROTK the pits were dark and evil.

Man, Fraggle Rock is funny enough just by itself, but compared to orc creation in Lord of the Rings, that's just too much. Possibly the best post ever.

Yes, sparkly and nice, thats why it looks like a twisted fraggle rock.

Re: LoTR and Fraggle Rock Similarity

Awesome thought! I loved Fraggle Rock as a child, and LotR, too, and little did I know that one was just a warped backdoor to the other....

Re: LoTR and Fraggle Rock Similarity

Hey it works!

Dance your cares away
Killing's for another day
Let the wardrums play
Down in Baradur!

Work & slave away
Maiming's for another day
Let the orcses stay...
Down in Baradur
Down in Baradur
Down in Baradur

I know it's cheesy but it's the best I can be bothered to come up with!
