Certainly the Ribbon Device is versatile and powerful: short-range weapon, defensive shield (needs beefing up to avoid throwing knives! ), ring-device control, torture instrument and intra-mental message transmission.

I personally think, since there is no other method, it could be used to control stargates (Children of the Gods, as potentially used by Apophis in the pre-titles.)

I love the torture deivce that makes you face glow yellow. I'd also like to have one of those big honkin' guns that they use to shoot at blast doors, etc., -> this device was seen in There But For The Grace Of God when alternate universe Teal'c killed "General" O' Neill for nuking Chulak.

I don't know which one to choose.
Some of them are very good because of the concept or even their sounds (staff, rings, ribbon device, death glider, etc.).
