Re: Thread Killers Anonymous Nah. I need intelligent movies. Eye candy is only ever a bonus. Give me good story, direction and acting, and I am content (don't ask for much, do I?). If I get good cinematography and great special effects, that's the icing on the cake. Eye candy is the cherry on top. Wholly unnecessary, but looks nice.

Re: Thread Killers Anonymous uh, no. That movie was sooooo boring it made me cry. Heck, even my wife was bored. I am very partial to smart (usually not Hollywood) action/mystery/suspense movies. Prime Suspect comes to mind, or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Jane Tennyson is the toughest woman ever. So tough she's brittle.

Re: Thread Killers Anonymous I do like the odd thriller, Hollywood can make good ones but the UK's are the best I agree. Used to love Taggart (adopts thicker accent than usual) Thirs bin a murduur! I always think we do quirky best. Johnathan Creek was one I used to love, more a mystery series but still thrilling at times.

Re: Thread Killers Anonymous Oh yes was that the one with the Scottish paranormal unit. I met a guy who had a minor role in that. I remmber the one with the sirens (well its closest analogy) my wife and her friend were watching it with me, there was a bit where they spent minutes ratcheting up the tension showing the doors and windows were locked. Then set up a video camera, and in the most amazingly simple shot had a girl rise from (quite obviously a crouch) and walk off camera. My wife and her friend nearly screamed the place down. Rather effective shot!
