| Flaming Poltergeist | Re: Thread Killers Anonymous Heck no, I've already been through that kerfuffle, I'm not adopting anything! *Gathers up all the little threads and scatters them around the now empty room (Poor thread...and it was having so much fun...still, what a way to go) and then begins watering them and feeding them carefully...they start to grow...and merge...ooh, what's this! The Big Thready is back! Wooooo...!* Mwahahahaa... *Runs away before the thread starts getting a bit too over-excited and starts 'playing' again* Last edited by HoopyFrood; 20th July 2007 at 12:26 PM. |

| Destroyer of Words | Re: Thread Killers Anonymous Listen, you chaps clearly don't fully understand the rules around here. The Rules: Rule 1: When I contribute to a thread, everyone else must instantly lose interest in it. Rule 2: That's enough rules. Rule 3: More than enough. |

| Destroyer of Words | Re: Thread Killers Anonymous I thought it might be an interesting idea to post success rates, in terms of verifiable kills to date. My current record, including date of decease, is as follows: Naming Your Characters 23 April 07 (I'd just joined. This must be one of my quickest kills) Common mistakes in writing 20 May I Need Help, Please............ 20 May The most cliched sci-fi story ever 13 July (The one I most regret. I was having a ball but it got down to only two of us playing. We were having fun, but why didn't anyone else join in?) Sci-fi concept. Does it interest you? 18 June Just wondering (constructive critism [sic] only) 19 June Swearing in books 2 July help with writing more 29 June 1.13: End of Days 20 June (Torchwood thread) How to Improve Torchwood 14 August (The only one I killed that I'd started myself) Picture Inspiration 26 June Too thick to write 29 June Revision/Editing & Story Question 29 June Some advice please 5 July 29.13: Last of the Time Lords 5 July The Aliens Are Coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 July The Blessings Thread! 14 Aug (?) It is time. 9 July "One" thing you like about where you live! 5 July Doctor Who paradox *spoilers* 9 July When sci-fi was sci-fi 24 July The New Companion 12 July (Dr Who thread) Continued Story Thread 31 July Series Two - dates? 7 Aug (Torchwood again) SF and the prophets of doom 7 August TOTAL 25 RIGHTEOUS SHOOTS (It may be a little early for statistical analyses, but it looks impressive to me.) Seems like I did my grimmest reaping in July, but the headcount for August isn't complete yet. Unlike most hitmen and assassins, I feel badly about most of the above. If one of your threads is among them, I'm truly sorry. Although others may have run their course, anyway, and in one case at least it may be too early to claim a clean kill, many of those that fell victim to my attentions seemed too young to die (very few of them being over two pages long). Multi-denominational services will be held this Saturday. No flowers, by request. |

| Flaming Poltergeist | Re: Thread Killers Anonymous Blimey, this thread has been put back on track! ![]() Mind you, I've just been looking through my subscribed threads and I really have killed a lot of threads in my time...I was surprised by how many there were that I'd mercilessly put an end to. I think my greatest kill was 'the shining' thread...somebody posted the thread with a simple question, I replied with what is easily one of my longest posts ever and BAM...shot it down. I'll know never to get so verbose again, it's deadly... |
