janet has ulitmate authority in medical matters...if she thinks hammond is unfit for duty she can remove him...remember it's like crusher on tng.
i don't know if there's a diff set of rules for doctors but janet could date almost anyone who isn't assigned to the medical wing since she's in charge of them.
and she would have to let hammond and their co know she's seeing them. let's say she has a fancy for a capt. on sg-6. she would have to tell hammond they're dating and also the capt's co that way if a situation came up her superiors would know she could have a conflict.

it would work the same way with sam. basically she could date anyone within 2 rank steps of herself, capt-lt.col who isn't her immediate superior or subordinate.
if she had the thing with the capt on sg-6 she would have to tell jack who would tell hammond. the same with the capt's co...that way they would know if sg-1 got sent in to bail out sg-6 for some reason they could leave sam behind or know her emotions could come into play.

Thank you skydiver for your insightful answers to that dating question! So Janet CAN date who she wants to with the exception of Hammond...and the who's in charge here one also!

Well, i'm all in favor of janet and danny (or danny and me)... in 2010 their seemed to be references to her and danny being together.. i thought i heard her say "see ya later honey"?... they seemed very comfortable together...
of course, with his track record....

Daniel and Janet, all the way! They would be just as good to see in a romance as Sam and Jack...maybe better. Here's why...

Janet needs someone who's kind and gentle, not military (no regulations are broken), and a good father figure for Cassy. Daniel's just the man for the job.

Of course, Daniel needs someone who can fix him up when he's broken, someone to snuggle up to at night, and someone to back him up in front of Jack. Enter Miss Jan...

Besides, he could use a little tender-loving-care from the good doctor.

So, GO DAN AND JAN!

Seems that we likesome of the same paring.... Do like the Janet/ Daniel and I get a kick out of reading some of them... In an interview Teryl Rothery suggested that in 2010 that her character had an interest in one of the male leads.... She didn't say whom but implied it was Daniel! especially when she said something about a wave....

You can also put your name and urls to fan fic in the Stargate fan fic section! There are a lot of people who would enjoy them! You can also post 'g' rated fan fic here. When you post keep it 'g', no flame and in the appropriate forum.. We do use SPOILER WARNINGS here when we talk about a episode out of its Season Forum...they are easy to do just type a left bracket[SPOILER in caps~ and leave no spaces between it and the brackets ~ and a right bracket] and when you submit your post it will automatically appear! Also if the post is long especially in fan fic you can use the attachment feature and you can make the story as long as you like without breaks and new posts....

If you have any questions just ask, we will answer and you can email or pm (private message a person ~ just follow the instructions on the form that will pop up... it is simple to follow ... it has to be for a technophope such as myself to use....) these icons can be found at the bottom of our posts. If you need help fast a moderator is a person with blue aliens...just find the blue aliens under a person's name and contact that person!

And from what AT says about Sam is that the producers pushed the envelope with Sam/Jack in Season 4 and she hopes that won't happen in Season 5!

Janet is in the Air Force and I've just watched Rites of Passage.

Spoiler gap:

I think that there is a small hint at the Danny/Janet relationship and I think that the scene where he tells her that he's there 4 her is soooo sweet! U could sorta see a few sparks when she was about 2 leave and he held her back by touching her hand. It is the only relationship that would make sense with Janet coz Jack loves Sam and always will.
(If ne1 dares 2 disagree, just remember that Jessa and I r the Evil, Scheming Teenagers. 'Nuff said!)
Teal'c has his wife ( I think, unless she died or sumthing and he also had Shaunock.) and Hammy is waaaaaay 2 old 2 date ne1 in the SGC except Catherine! So , as u see, Danny is the only possible candidate. Plus, they look cute 2gether!
