of all the times, they just couldn't be late

danny dialed with a flourish, regardless of his burns
in getting injured, they really all should take turns

it opened with a whoosh
as the monster rattled in the bush

the quartet dove through in a panicked rush
"general hammond," they cried. "Hope you didn't miss us too much."

Cried General Hammond as he looked at his crew.

Daniel was singed, some embers still smoking.
His poor burned up hair in all directions poking.

"It's a long story, sir" said Jack with a glower.
"I will tell you all about it after I shower."

How about in honor of Valentine's Day, we can do the rhyming couplet thing to the loves of the SGC. I will start with the obvious:

Daniel's loves have been many and varied.
Some good, some evil, some alive, some buried.

I do so love Hathor, with her evil pink mist.
Ooh, she wanted Daniel to give her a kiss!

OK, there is the start, is anyone else game?

though he doesn't seem to do much to woo her

a pat on the arm, a invite to go fishing
he keeps this up, the shippers will keep wishing
