I refused to allow my picture to be taken in profile, etc. I grew my hair long just to let it hang over my face. Major issues.

Finally I forget about it, because no one outside of high school cared.

Then my friend Jen told me that I had a "little witchy birdy nose" and as I was into both Wicca and crows at the time I took it as a compliment.

Then I realized that I had my Dad's nose.

Finally J. K. Rolwing gave us the delightful, delectable, sneering and greasy Professor Snape, and I came to understand that I don't just have my Dad's nose - I have the Potions Master's nose. In my (very small, personal) circle, this made me da proverbial bomb. I cut my hair short (that was a mistake, but oh well) and I pick on guys. "You think you got something impressive buddy? Well check out my Potions Master nose."

And Lucifer sometimes has occasion to wonder why she is single.

Re: All about us.

I used to think I should save up to have something done about my nose, which is a little too round, but in the end I decided even if it looked better I wouldn't like it, because then I wouldn't recognise myself.

Okay, so people have flaws... What the hell, we wouldn't be us if we weren't unique, we'd be someone else!!!

Re: All about us.

That's what I thought.... I'm often described as 'useless' and 'stupid' and I know I have my obsessions (lime juice, rum, reading, growing tomatoes, washing my hands) and my abhorrances, (lifts, escalators, centipedes etc), but without all that stuff I'd be someone else, and that would scare me. So no point trying to change those along with my nose, even though people have tried.

Re: All about us.

Why try to be someone else, when there is nothing wrong with you???

Be unique... Don't be a sheep!!!

Re: All about us.

I am overweight, which I find difficult to come to terms with, since I was extremely fit as a teenager with zero body fat. I think that I would have more complexes/issues but everybody that I know are fairly cool and are not fussed by appearances etc. Plus I still charm the ladies with my marvellous wit!

Re: All about us.

I put on weight this year, what with eating chocolate so much when I was studying, so now I've lost it again, so half of my clothes don't fit, gah. Good job my Grandma is prepared to do sewing for me! Charming wit is the most charming thing

To the Master: Baaaaa!

Charming wit can be so disarming.

Re: All about us.

So disarming, in fact, that the firm beleif in it of the charmer can lead to the charmer being disarmed by his own charm

Re: All about us.

Alarming, to find that to be so charming, can be disarming to oneself too.

Re: All about us.

Yep, I'm witty and unarmed so I come from a whole line of unarmed charmers that can be charming as all get out and I call that a wagon load of charm

Re: All about us.

I meant.... one can be so charmed with the idea that one is charming, that one is disarmed to the fact that one might not always be charming, i.e Holofernes.

Re: All about us.

Hey, while we are having a go at ourselves... I am overweight - but I am of a large build, which means it isn't too bad... Which is hardly surprising, as I was overweight as a child... But now I'm doing Tae Kwon Do to help tone up the excess...

Also, my head is slightly bent...

[EDIT]I can also be as charming as hell, which is disarming for others - as one or two on here have found - eh, MS???

And I am at my most dangerous when being charming!!!
