Location: New Orleans, Louisiana. This does not make me cool, because everyone who has ever come to this pit of a town knows that we visit here and laugh at drunk girls flashing, but we do not live here unless the military forces us to. Seattle, Washington native, raised in San Diego, California, in love with San Francisco. 2 years and I get out of the Pit.

Family: I love alone with a small dog (Pomeranian) named Bjorn (yes, Lucifer has a pomeranian, but he is BLACK so it's okay.) I also have a Siamese mix named Roscoe and a black cat named Anubis. They are both from Puerto Rico, where I was stationed before this. Mom's family is centered in Southern California, Father's family in Nowhere Indiana, stepfather's family in Philadelphia, stepmother's family in New Orleans. Christmas is insane. One day I hope to have a male creature of my very own (he lives in San Francisco and his days are numbered unless he marries a groupie first) but I refuse to have children on the grounds that the entire event terrifies me and proximity to small child makes my lips curl and my teeth appear. Some call it a smile. They are wrong. It is a warding-off gesture used by werewolves and other canines that means, "Stay away, else I will indulge in head-bitey."

Occupation: I am in the military. I do medicine. It is yucky. Toenail removals make me gag. Therefore I have been shifted to a new department, as of Monday. There I will encourage people to go for walks, breast feed and quit smoking. It's called "health promotions." My pre-occupation is working on The Book.

Hobbies: Writing, reading, working on giant cat tapestry, dancing to techno music at clubs (because no one tries to impregnante you from behind as they do in hip-hop clubs - this especially applies when one is the only girl at a club; ah the nights of indulging my inner androgyne's flaming side), finding cool new bands with which to impress my friends, drawing a very bad cartoon called "Repent!" screeching Tori Amos in my car, having intellectual arguments, drinking lots of vodka with lots of cranberry, giving mock interviews about my book while looking in the mirror and perfecting the "Lucifer May Care" smile and head toss, acting out scenes from my book (yelling at myself and scaring the neighbors, in other words), taking photographs, visiting cemeteries, and ruining perfectly innocent t-shirts to create bizarre originals from them. Current WIP is a Legolas shirt from Hot Topic getting some white floaty sleeves and trails of fake ivy.

Likes: boys with brains, girls with chunky glasses and bad hair, people who know about the movies I like, bad horror films, sushi, thunderstorms, Dungeons and Dragons geeks, my combat boots with the crossbones laces, my tattoos, gay bars, straight bars with interesting clientele, Harry Potter toys, adult fan fiction, working on The Book (especially when a grey area that didn't have all the kinks ironed out suddenly snaps into sharp focus), the smell of Christmas Trees, rude bumper stickers, watching my pets have Small Animal Armageddon at 3 a.m., the patient who looks like Harry Potter who comes into my work and speaks with a truly bad British accent to impress me. (One of my friends told him that I think he looks like HP and he should feel flattered - humiliations galore.) He is the cutest 16-year-old you've even seen and his name is Nolan. Couldn't you just die? Oh, and people who call me Lucifer, even when they mean it in a rude and deprecating way. My best friend in San Francisco, bless his guitar playing heart, who even after we broke up has stuck around for the past ten years and still flatters me by getting pissy when I mention another boy's name.

Dislikes: shopping, cell phones, chick flicks (especially with Meg Ryan - shudder), people who refer to me as cute, people who pretend to be interested in what others have to say for their own nefarious ends, running, televised sports, mushrooms. Oh, I hate mushrooms so much! The smell of them makes me gag. I have to leave the room when someone cooks them. It's really gotten into the phobia range. I lie at restaurants and say I'm allergic to them, even if what I've ordered contains no mushrooms. I look at all egg rolls with fear and trepidation. Curry. Not a big fan of curry. Tim Curry is good, Indian curry is not. People who call me Satan.
